Note: United Kingdom, Italy, Mexico, Philippines, and Singapore ratings have their own pages.

ARGENTINA
  • Buenos Aires, 8: Filo, San Martin. (This lively Italian restaurant/bar has perhaps the finest Tiramisu in all of Argentina. The very large portions go for $7 and it is light and airy and wonderfully memorable.) -- Don Daniel, 2/97.
AUSTRALIA
  • Australian Capital Territory, CANBERRA, 10: The Oak Room, Hyatt Hotel, Commonwealth Ave. (Great. Sent the tastebuds wild!) -- Lud Krastins, 12/97.

  • New South Wales, BERKELEY, 7: Berkeley Sports & Social Club, NSW 2527. (The Tiramisu was all that I had expected, but I am afraid not as good as home made. The crust was a little too dry. But all in all, it was okay. I don't know what your ratings are based on, but I know a good one.) -- Colin Winterbottom, 5/99.

  • New South Wales, FAIRY MEADOW, 10: Carluccio’s Kitchen , just north of Wollongong, Shop 1, 23-25 Princes Hwy, Fairy Meadow NSW 2519, phone 61+2 42 834300. (The Tiramisu was $AUD8.20. The portion was large to say the least. At least 1 inch thick and about 5 inches by 4 inches. what a taste. I would rate it as only 2nd best to my partners Tiramisu, but I am biased as you would agree. However, Out of all the desserts(Tiramisu) I have tasted around this area, this would have to rate a 10. Definitely exceptional. You will have to try this one someday.) -- Colin Winterbottom, 3/01.

  • New South Wales, PORT KEMBLA, 8: Tonitto's Cakes, Wentworth St. (Outside of the homemade ones I get, these were very good. If you like cream on top, then these are for you. If you don't, then sorry. After being in heaven, I think a good strong 8 should be okay.) -- Colin Winterbottom, 4/99.

  • Queensland, PORT DOUGLAS, 10: La Marina Ristorante Italiani Port Douglas, 4 Wharf St., Marina Mirage -- Marisa, 1/97.

  • Victoria, MELBOURNE, 10: Cafe Greco, Chapel St. South Yarra, Melbourne 3141. (I stayed in Melbourne for 4 years and Cafe Greco is the only place where I would eat the Tiramisu. Tried the same dessert in other restaurants [also in other cities in Australia], I still went back to the Greco's Tiramisu.) – Eggy, 6/01/

  • Victoria, MELBOURNE, 10: Provincial Hotel, Corner of Brunswick & Johnston St. (Fitzroy). (Rated the best Tiramisu in Melbourne by the experts. This Tiramisu is better than sex. If you're ever in Australia, make the effort. You won't be disappointed.) -- Vin Merrett, 1/97.

  • Victoria, ST. KILDA, 8: Cafe De Statsio. (Simply lovely. One may not be attracted by its appearance, but when you've dug your spoon under that rich layer of cheese, the irresistible flavor just comes rolling out. Especially loved the cake part of it, soaked with rich coffee flavor.) – Winnie – 5/01.

  • Victoria, BRIGHT, 10: Cafe Bacco, Anderson St. -- O. Davicadd, 1/97.

  • Western Australia, PERTH, 10: Terrazza Cafe Restaurant, Galeria Shopping Mall, Perth 6050. (This was the best Tiramisu I have ever tasted, bar none! Honestly, Heaven in the mouth!) – Teresa Merau – 5/01.

BAHRAIN
  • BAHRAIN, 9: Cafe Suisse, Exhibition Road, Middle East -- J. Raul, 3/97.
BERMUDA
  • HAMILTON, 10: Tuscany, Front St. (The best I've ever had.) -- Anonymous, 1/98.
  • ST. GEORGE'S PARISH, 9: San Giorgio's. (This was the first time I remember ever eating Tiramisu. It was undescribably one of the best, if not the best, dessert experiences of my life. I worked 5 weeks in Bermuda and went back every week for the great food, and no mtter how full I was, I always ordered Tiramisu for dessert. I have not had Tiramisu that has come close to San Giorgio's ever since.) Miguel Simon, 4/00.
BRAZIL
  • RIO DE JANEIRO, 10: Italia In Bocca, Barra Shopping. (This restaurant has an old Italian woman who makes the best Tiramisu in Rio. I have only had the same experience in Rome.) -- Jeronimo, 12/97.
DENMARK
  • COPENHAGEN, 10: Restaurant Verona, Stre. Farimagsgade, Copenhagen. (I was introduced to this extremely nice cake -- or dessert -- for the first time. The one served in Restaurant Verona was very delicious, made of chocolate, coffee and Sicilian Marsala wine. I wish that I could make on similar at home, but I didn't dare ask for the recipe. Anyhow, the Verona Tiramisu gets my best recommendation.) -- Poul-Ole Jensen, 1/97.
EGYPT
  • CAIRO, 2: Le Pacha, near the Marriott on Samalek Island. (While the rest of the restaurant is wonderful [they have 6 different rooms], the Tiramisu was extremely disappointing. The ladyfingers were mushy and had been soaked poorly in what I can only assume was supposed to be Kahlua.) -- Timothy Lutero, 5/97.

  • HURGADA, 1: Rossi. (Very bad Tiramisu in the world. On chocolade bisquit lay whipped cream and cacao. But price at $4. Do not eat.) -- Anatoli, 5/01.

  • HURGADA, 4: Scarabeo. (Medium Tiramisu. Needs some cognac or liquer in coffee, and cream is very simple to taste. Price $4) -- Anatoli, 5/01.

INDIA
  • SURABAYA, 7: Westin Hotel, Embong Malan, Surabaya 60261. (The first time I tasted Tiramisu I realized that it is a real flavor. I never refuse if someone asks me if I want a piece. That's why I put this cake as my email address.) -- Chelly, 10/98.

  • MOSCOW, 6: Coffee Bean, Tverskaya-Yamskaya str. (This Tiramisu is made from Philadelphia cheese and with dark rum and ladyfingers like my homemade Tiramisu, but mine is better :). Good taste. Price $3.50.) – Jdanov Anatoli, 6/01.

  • JOHANNESBURG, 9: Carluccio's, Village Walk, Sandton. () I first experienced Tiramisu at a local restaurant called Mimmos. The waiteress who recommended It, made sublime gestures while describing the taste and I was hooked. Mimmos Tiramisu could score an 7 on your scale, but I had not tasted Carluccio's Tiramisu yet. When I did, my partner and I had to suspend conversation for a good 20 minutes as we savoured a truly magnificent dessert. Like many others, I fell in love with Tiramisu. On my birthday, instead of a cake, I was presented with Tiramisu. Much to the irritation of the party guests, I blatently refused to share any of it. Later, I snuggled up on the couch, popped in Toy Story and indulged myself.)-- "Leslie Thoka," 4/01.
